Position Overview

As a Porter you will clean and maintain the administrative offices warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines. You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean-up. All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor - Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse including office space employee break areas windows and restrooms

• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping mopping vacuuming buffing and waxing floors - Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product

• Tending to spills including damaged product oil grease etc.

• Collecting plastic wrap shredded paper and empty boxes to be disposed of properly

• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight shape and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

Whats a great way to stay in shape

• Continually Standing bending pulling lifting pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete tile carpet etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
