TAX ACCOUNTANT (Permanent) Our client, an established boutique firm in the South towns of WNY, is looking to add a Tax Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for growth, leadership, and potential partnership.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporate, and trusts
• Collect and review information from clients ensuring accuracy
• Research any issues and follow up with clients via email/phone regarding any possible discrepancies
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure tax returns are being completed within a timely manner
• Develop industry-specific strategies with clients to support overall business and individual needs
• Remain up-to-date with tax laws to ensure compliance
• Supervise and mentor staff members driving professional development & growth while reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and on-time filings
• Work well in a team environment, as well as on an individual basis
• Complete special projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary

Details:

• Position is full-time, direct hire
• Hybrid
• $90,000-$110,000 depending on experience
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting
• CPA or in-progress preferred
• 3+ years tax accounting or public accounting experience with a focus on tax
• 1040/1065/1120S experience preferred
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organization skills and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Relocation not available
