Great Place Construction (GPC) is looking for a

SKILLED CONCRETE FINISHER

• FULL-TIME YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR SKILLED CARPENTERS
• WAGES START BETWEEN $27 AND $32 DOE.
• Monday through Friday schedule - No Weekends.
• Paid Travel Time in Company Vehicles. 
• Work is Generally Within 1 to 2 hours of Sioux Falls.
• Work Boot Allowance
• Spanish/English Bilingual Premium Pay

Great Place Construction is a private construction firm that specializes in commercial design/build projects.  We need reliable, skilled commercial construction tradesmen to join our team!   If you are hardworking with any number of commercial construction skill sets we want you!

We are looking to hire team members that may have experience with any of this type of work.  You don’t have to have it all – we will train for you.

DUTIES:

• The concrete finisher will prepare/place/finish concrete
• Construct, place and strip formwork
• Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents
• Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment
• Finish/edge/cut placed concrete
• Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work
• Work with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation process
• Workers will be provided daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Sioux Falls, SD
• Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis. May have to push/pull up to 100lbs on an infrequent basis
• Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing
• Valid DL and good driving record
• Knowledge of various tools associated with duties noted above
