Job Description

Our client is seeking a strategic, energetic, and relationship‑driven Resident District Manager to lead food service operations in Oregon, serving more than 43,000 students across 64 locations. This leader will oversee multi‑site operations, drive financial performance, strengthen client partnerships, and ensure high‑quality food service delivery across the district.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong, trust‑based relationships with district leadership.
  • High employee engagement and retention across sites.
  • Consistent delivery of safe, high‑quality food service.
  • Achievement of financial goals and operational KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong client and community relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to support district goals.
  • Oversee reporting, compliance, and operational performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for day‑to‑day operations across multiple school sites.
  • Lead and develop onsite and remote teams, fostering strong employee engagement.
  • Ensure high‑quality food service, safety, and sanitation compliance across all locations.
  • Achieve financial targets, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Create a positive, service‑focused environment aligned with organizational standards.
  • Smooth coordination across 60+ locations with clear communication and accountability.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license (required for travel between district locations)
  • Experience in culinary production, safety, and sanitation compliance.
  • Strong communication, client‑relationship, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong leadership background demonstrated employee engagement success.
  • Proficiency with operational systems, reporting tools, and general computer skills.
  • 5+ years of management experience in food service, hospitality, education, or related multi‑site operations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding operational targets.
  • Experience managing large‑scale institutional food service programs (K‑12, higher education, or healthcare)
  • Familiarity with food service management systems (training provided for external candidates)
