About The Role:

As a CBRE Occupancy/MAC Planner, you will review space requirements, develop conceptual plans, and ensure efficient space utilization through a combination of planning, data management, and operational execution to foster a dynamic and productive work environment.

This job is part of the Moves, Additions and Changes function. They are responsible for building space design, construction, and moving services.

This is a client-facing position that requires a full-time (5 days per week) onsite presence at the client's office location.

What You'll Do:

  • Review and assess space requirements, providing conceptual plans and strategic recommendations to the real estate team and stakeholders, and assisting with the creation of block/stack plans and comprehensive move lists.
  • Produce and present professional drawings and presentations to internal stakeholders and client-facing steering committees for review and feedback.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews and discussions with clients to gather, coordinate, and synthesize project requirements, including functional, operational, and cultural considerations.
  • Collaborate with Architectural Vendors and Project Management to investigate and ensure compliance with code requirements and city or county permits for office reconfigurations and moves.
  • Facilitate post-occupancy support and reviews to ensure project deliverables are executed to client expectations.
  • Manage occupancy data by attending space walks for validation, updating occupancy metrics, and accurately entering and maintaining data within the system of record.
  • Prepare forecasts and evaluate space planning trends based on general business conditions to inform future strategies.
  • Run and analyze daily and weekly utilization reports, including monitoring traveler schedules for potential space availability, and coordinate with teams (e.g., conference center team, internal teams) to optimize space use.
  • Develop, assess, and continuously refine space utilization and no-show reports (weekly and monthly), reporting findings to stakeholders for follow-up and making recommendations for best practices and adjustments (e.g., policy, process improvements) in collaboration with Workplace Experience (WE) and Administration teams.
  • Execute space optimization initiatives by managing seating systems, including cancelling no-shows, accommodating visitors, adjusting locations (e.g., downgrading/upgrading), and managing new hire space bookings and impacted seat reservations due to lotteries or hoteling transitions.
  • Regularly review floor plans to ensure proper assignments, booking functionality, and identify space change potential, processing space adds/updates, and creating checklists for onboarding new spaces.
  • Collaborate with other team members to gain business intelligence for move and relocation sequencing and execution, attending client meetings, drafting minutes, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Work diligently within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, impacting the quality of your own work through clear communication, asking questions, and checking for understanding.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience with CAFM programs highly preferred.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Occupancy/MAC Planner position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
