How You'll Help Us Connect the World
As a Web Development Intern, you will be responsible for developing a dynamic web application as part of the CommScope's Cable and Connectivity Solutions business. You will work closely with Fiber Optic Test Engineers to implement web tools that can read/write to a server database using APIs. This role will be based in Shakopee, MN.
You Will Make an Impact By
Design and build interactive, user-friendly interfaces with React to present and manipulate data from a database.
Use RESTful APIs to get, update, and manage data.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
Actively pursuing a bachelor's (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related degree, from an accredited university
Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Hands-on experience with website design and development.
Have familiarity with software version control systems.
Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions independently using research from diverse sources.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship

You Will Excite Us If You
Familiarity with the React library and its core concepts (e.g., hooks, state management, lifecycle methods).
Understanding of RESTful API principles and ability to handle asynchronous requests using fetch or similar tools.
Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL Server).
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in the application effectively.
Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
Strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
