Job Summary

Diligent Solutions is seeking a VMWare Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing VMware vCloud Suite environments, including vSphere, vCenter, vRealize Suite, NSX, and vSAN. This role requires strong expertise in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, automation, and security compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Manage and administer VMware vCloud Suite, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain vSphere, vCenter, vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Operations (vROps), and NSX-T.
• Monitor and optimize multi-tenant virtual environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement and maintain security compliance (STIGs, DoD cybersecurity standards) and apply security patches and updates.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and management using PowerCLI, vRO (vRealize Orchestrator), and Ansible.
• Manage vSAN storage, VM clusters, and software-defined networking (SDN) using NSX-T.
• Support cloud integration with Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related performance and security issues.
• Maintain and update technical documentation related to virtualized environments.
• Work closely with vendors and IT teams to integrate new VMware technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• IAT II or higher 8570/8140 Certification.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in VMware virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with VMware hybrid cloud solutions (Azure VMware Solution, AWS VMware Cloud).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerCLI, Ansible, vRO).
• Experience in multi-tenant VMware environments and security hardening.
• Experience integrating VMware with cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• VMware Certifications are a plus
