Job Description

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic die press systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role involves disassembling dies, diagnosing issues, replacing or repairing components, and reassembling with precision for production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and structural issues in die presses, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on stamping presses and associated dies.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble dies and press components.
• Replace worn or damaged parts such as punches, dies, springs, and bushings.
• Ensure alignment and fit of dies to meet production specifications and safety standards.
• Use tools such as grinders, welders, micrometers, calipers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with tool and die makers, machinists, and maintenance staff to resolve complex press-related issues.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and part replacements.
• Conduct press try-outs and assist in die setup and fine-tuning.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance, tooling, or mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience with die presses (e.g., mechanical, hydraulic, progressive) in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in welding, machining, and metal finishing techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety practices.
