We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, month end close, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and managing day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. This role reports directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guides the Biobridges accounting team through a timely month end close and financial reporting
  • Delegate financial responsibilities to AR and AP
  • Responsible for month end close transactions, journal entry preparation, journal entry review and approval when needed, month end checklist, and accurate financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the interim and year-end audit requests from the external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting policies and proper recognition of revenue
  • Identify process gaps and enhancements to ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. Assist in process improvements and improve areas of efficiency across the team
  • Maintain and contribute to the improvement of an internal control environment
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and company policy
  • Identify and reconcile any variances in the balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management, and work closely with the FP&A team
  • Provide support to departments requesting accounting guidance or budget information
  • Work closely with management team, set standards and drive compliance across the entire organization
  • Assist the Controller with domestic and international compliance for the consolidated entity

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-4 years of Accounting experience
  • Education: An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Netsuite or Oracle is highly preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the staffing industry is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring both remote and in-office attendance. Specific in-office days will be coordinated with the Controller.
