Job Description

Social Media Marketing Intern - Student Position (Part-Time)

** Please note that this is a student position. We encourage students who have interest and experience in social media to apply this role.

Work Model: Hybrid (flexible blend of remote and on-site work)

Hours: Flexible schedule – we prioritize results!

Compensation: Performance-based piece rate (content volume and engagement metrics). Specifics are open for discussion.

Location Requirement: Must reside within the Miami metropolitan area.

Your Mission:

As our Part-Time Social Media Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our online presence. You'll own the strategy, creation, and execution of engaging content across a variety of dynamic social media platforms, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Your goal will be to amplify our brand, foster community, and drive meaningful engagement.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Platform Management Pro: You'll take full ownership of our social media channels, from developing content calendars to scheduling and publishing posts. You'll ensure all content resonates with our brand voice and captivates our target audience.
  • Content Creation & Optimization Whiz: You'll stay ahead of the curve, identifying trending topics and audience preferences to craft compelling text, eye-catching visuals, and engaging videos. You'll be a data detective, regularly analyzing performance metrics (likes, shares, follower growth, etc.) to identify what works and fine-tune our content strategies for optimal impact.
  • Community Engagement Champion: You'll be the voice of our brand, promptly and thoughtfully responding to comments, direct messages, and user feedback, nurturing strong relationships with our online community. You'll also conceptualize and execute interactive campaigns like challenges, Q&As, and giveaways to spark user participation and excitement.
  • Results-Oriented Achiever: You'll be driven to meet and exceed clear performance targets, consistently delivering high-quality work. You'll provide insightful regular reports, summarizing your activities and analyzing data to inform future strategic decisions.

What We're Looking For in You:

  • Current College Student: Open to all majors, though students in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or Digital Media fields are encouraged to apply. Crucially, you must be located in the Miami metropolitan area.
  • Social Media Native: You possess a deep understanding of the nuances of X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Experience managing personal social media accounts or leading social media for student organizations is a significant plus.
  • Skill Set Superstar: You have exceptional written communication skills to craft compelling and concise copy. You're proficient in design tools like Canva or Photoshop and video editing software such as CapCut or Premiere. You also possess basic data analysis skills to interpret metrics and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Personal Qualities: You are a self-starter, highly detail-oriented, and thrive working independently within a flexible environment. You bring a creative flair, have a keen eye for emerging trends, and possess a genuine passion for the dynamic world of social media.

What's in Store for You:

  • Flexibility That Fits Your Life: Our hybrid work model offers the perfect balance between remote work and in-office collaboration, providing a convenient part-time opportunity tailored for students in the Miami area.
  • Earn Based on Your Impact: Our performance-based piece-rate system means your earning potential directly reflects the quality and impact of your content. Your compensation will be a direct result of your skills and output, with opportunities for negotiation based on your experience.
  • Fuel Your Career Trajectory: You'll receive invaluable mentorship from industry professionals, gain hands-on experience across diverse social media platforms, and earn a valuable internship certificate to enhance your resume. This role offers a fantastic stepping stone to future full-time opportunities within our organization!
