Job Description
This individual will work in conjunction with one of our Digital / Social Media Managers to primarily fulfill the planning and reporting needs for the clients as well as focus on content creation and community management. This person will not serve as the day-to-day contact, and this is the entry-level position for our digital team. This person will work alongside a Digital Coordinator, who will be the primary point of contact for the accounts, lead strategy, and give creative direction, as well as write copy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for storytelling, and enjoys staying on top of social media trends.
Note: while we will be interviewing for both a Digital Administrator and Digital Coordinator positions, we will only be hiring one position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community management for 8-10 social accounts, including: engaging with followers, answering questions in DMs, posting 3-4 stories daily, etc. (this does require some management on weekends)
- Assist on content shoots to develop photography and video for clients
- Draft and edit content both photos and videos to be aligned with brand goals
- Assist with graphic design needs for posts, stories, and e-newsletters
- Create and schedule content according to the strategic map set by the Digital Manager and Digital Coordinator/Specialist
- Bring creative ideas to the table for monthly strategic planning sessions
- Gather analytics for weekly and end-of-month reporting to clients
- Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media ads for respective clients
- Stay current on digital trends and social media best practices
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to gather assets and approvals
- Note: Digital Coordinator/Specialist serves as the day-to-day contact for these accounts as well as leads creative ideation and copywriting
Three Key Functions of the job revolve around: daily management/community engagement, content development and reporting.
Daily Management: Daily checks for each social platform by 10 a.m.
- 2-3 organic stories
- Answer all comments, DMs and share all tagged stories that are relevant
- Ensure day’s post is set to post (and crosspost) accurately before 10 am as well as check the post the night before posted correctly on both platforms, and check the post the next day as well to ensure set up to post correctly
- Engage with likeminded accounts (spend 15 minutes each day in each account commenting on others posts, following likeminded pages, responding to stories)
- Monitor UGC ang geotag content (Fridays)
Strategic Content Creation:
- Content creation for 8-10 social media clients across platforms with assistance on strategy from the account team (platform execution dependent on the client - Facebook, Instagram and sometimes Twitter or TikTok)
- Development of high–quality graphics, photography and short-form video to post 4+ times per week
- Content is professional, polished and engaging
- Content should be a strategic mix of photos, video, carousel posts with people, food, interior/exterior, etc.
- Digital Admin should have a general understanding of client content buckets, key messages, and voice
- Execution of growth strategies (video trends, storytelling, creative contests, etc.) in monthly mapping
- Ad Assistance: DA will also assist with the initial drafting of creative content piece for social ad needs after direction is given from the Digital Manager/Digital Coordinator
- Assist in shot lists and visual mood boards for shoots
Client Communication: You will have limited client communication other than occasionally having to send content to clients for approval
Monthly Reporting:
- Basic understanding of reporting analytics.
- DA will pull reports for both Facebook and Instagram from analytics software
