About The Role

As a Senior Recruiter, will be be a key member to Biofire’s recruiting team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing talent strategies to support the company’s growth. You will take full ownership of the entire candidate journey — from scheduling and outreach to partnering directly with hiring leaders across the organization and closing top talent to meet our ambitious hiring goals. Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, you'll be a problem-solver who tackles people challenges with creativity and confidence.

In this role, you'll drive recruiting efforts across diverse teams, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and operations. Success will require strategic thinking and the ability to seamlessly adapt across multiple functions. All of the hiring you do will be critical to the performance of our ground-breaking firearm product that is being built by employees on a mission to help save lives.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Drive creative, proactive, and effective recruitment strategies for building active and passive pipelines;
  • Review applications, conduct initial phone interviews, and present the most qualified candidates to hiring leaders through a selection process that highlights essential skills and qualifications;
  • Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, including salary recommendations and closing of candidates;
  • Act as a trusted partner to hiring leaders and interviewers, from executives to first time leaders and interviewers. Communicate regularly with hiring leaders regarding the status of candidates;
  • Proactively identify and present innovative strategies to enhance the talent acquisition function, driving continuous improvement and aligning recruitment efforts with overall business goals;
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the company and the recruiting team both internally and externally.

  • Sourcing + Recruiting: Extensive full-cycle recruiting experience in building and sourcing robust talent pipelines across diverse domains.,with strong emphasis in hardware and engineering recruiting. Experience doing this at a start-up, defense tech or in the consumer hardware technical space is a valuable plus;
  • Process Development and Ownership: Deep understanding of structured interview processes, competency-based evaluations, and recruitment process optimization. Proven experience succesfully driving and implementing these practices;
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships, collaborating directly with hiring managers to drive strategic recruiting efforts aligned with business needs, conducting profile calibrations, and providing pipeline updates through various communication channels;
  • Systems and Candidate Management: Experience in leveraging ATS platforms (preferably Ashby or other modern systems) to source, track, and manage candidates effectively across various stages of the hiring process;
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade candidates as well as communicate effectively to internal hiring partners.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000/annual salary + stock options + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

LOCATION

This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.
