Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Portland, ME. The Senior Pool Technician will be responsible for maintaining and servicing pools, troubleshooting and repairing pool equipment, and ensuring water quality. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and diagnosing issues with pools, cleaning pool surfaces and filters, and overseeing the installation and repair of pool systems. The Senior Pool Technician will also provide excellent customer service and ensure all work adheres to safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining and servicing pools, including troubleshooting and repairing pool equipment
• Knowledge of water chemistry and pool cleaning techniques
• Strong technical skills related to pool systems installation and repair
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications in pool maintenance and repair are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in pool technology preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Position: Senior Swimming Pool Service Technician

Christman Pool Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Senior Swimming Pool Service Technician to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a leader with extensive knowledge in pool maintenance, repairs, and installation, who can bring expertise, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Pool & Spa Maintenance: Oversee the opening, closing (winterization), and weekly maintenance of inground pools and spas, including Gunite, vinyl, and fiberglass models.
• Equipment Expertise: Diagnose, repair, and install pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems. Perform advanced plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• Leadership: Serve as the head technician, mentoring junior team members and ensuring high-quality service on every job.
• Problem Solving: Handle complex service calls, identifying and addressing technical challenges efficiently and effectively.
• Customer Relations: Maintain excellent customer relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and reliable service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in pool and spa service, including experience as a lead or senior technician.
• Proficient in the maintenance of Gunite, vinyl, and fiberglass pools.
• Strong experience with opening, closing, and routine service of pools and spas.
• Expertise in equipment repairs, including pumps, heaters, filters, automation systems, and advanced plumbing.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
