Job Description

Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to act as the sole accounting professional for a growing construction company. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and ensure accurate month-end close .
• Prepare and maintain financial records in compliance with company policies.
• Support union-certified payroll reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience ; prior experience as the sole accountant or in a small business environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close .
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Construction industry experience is a plus but not required .
• Knowledge of union payroll processes is a plus.
