Job Description

Job Title: Robotics Engineer

Location: Reno, NV (On-Site, 5 days/week) – Open to relocating candidates, provides relocation assistance

Term: Perm, Full-Time

Industry: Electric Vehicle Manufacturing

Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 base salary per year (12 Months base + 1 month bonus)

Note: Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. No Corp-to-Corp (C2C/C2H) or Visa sponsorship provided.

Travel: Please note that this role needs to go to China Headquarters for about 1 month of training. If you are ok with traveling, then we can move forward with your application. We will help with the Visa to go to China. The training program combines learning with hands-on project work, so the training can be highly beneficial for career growth. Additionally, the salary during the training period will be paid according to U.S. standards. We will also cover airfare and accommodation during the training.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement and regularly review technical standards for robot systems and automated processes involving manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure that all robot systems comply with industry standards and on-site requirements.
  • Audit critical changes to robot equipment to ensure seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
  • Provide change control and ongoing technical support for on-site implementation, ensuring modifications meet robot and manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with technical supervisors to develop and improve technical standards for robot programming and automation algorithms.
  • Enhance the efficiency of algorithms in robot systems through strict standard-setting and review processes.
  • Serve as a key technical resource to support and provide expertise for the integration of robot systems with manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with other engineers and developers to ensure coordinated operation between robot components and on-site equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with major robot brands, differences, and basic characteristics.
  • Proficiency in the features, hardware specifications, and network protocols of FANUC, KUKA, and EPSON robots, with relevant usage experience.
  • Ability to program robots, design robot motion programs, and optimize and modify existing robot programs.
  • Capability to assemble, debug, and wire robots, as well as to calibrate robot positions and fine-tune robot parameters.
  • Ability to maintain and repair robots, quickly assess their condition, and perform rapid repairs and restoration. Also, capable of organizing major maintenance activities for robots.
  • Ability to design and implement improvement plans for robot usage based on their operating conditions.
  • Strong communication and learning skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
