An exciting opening for you, as our next TS/SCI cleared Release Manager to play a critical role with design, engineering, development, and deployment of software for the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) and DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization program.
DTP involves a data-centric architecture, leverages cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and cross-domain transfer systems to provide cutting-edge data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members.
D3P is advancing the state of the art in mission-focused big data analytics tools and is focused on continuous delivery of everything from sprint-level tasks to years-long R&D.
Role Summary:As a Release Manager, you will provide technical and administrative oversight and execution of the release management lifecycle for the D3P system. You will work closely with engineers, architects, operations managers, and government counterparts to manage requirements tracking, release cycle management, system integration/testing, deployment planning, and related documentation. Remote work may be permitted occasionally, depending on client needs and deliverables.
Fun Stuff You Will Do on the Job:Manage and oversee the entire software release effort to successfully deploy software releases to production throughout the CI/CD pipeline
Lead software release meetings and oversee system integration team execution to deliver product on schedule
Understand software features to plan for current and upcoming releases
Document release rollout plans/tasks, risks, and maintain schedule for rollouts
Conduct regular release tag-ups/scrums; document minutes, actions, and status
Track action items across program teams to maintain schedule
Generate and assign work tickets for release tasks
Participate in PI planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, and other related meetings
Coordinate with test teams for release/hotfix testing
Work with development leads, config managers, and program managers on release activities
Establish and document release processes; lead process improvement efforts
Report release status to PMO and customer
Develop and maintain SE documentation, diagrams, and models in collaboration with the SE team
Contribute to SE process development for analysis, solution design, integration, testing, and risk mitigation
Facilitate Agile ceremonies with the software development team
Assist in resolving technical issues impacting delivery
Identify and support external dependencies as needed
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in software development, release management, or systems engineering
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph
4+ years as a Release Manager, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Product Owner
Proven experience in release cycles, hotfixes, defect tracking, and production status reporting
Skilled in documenting releases, managing risk, and maintaining release schedules
Ability to lead release meetings and team execution for on-time delivery
Familiar with Agile processes and scrum facilitation (Planning, Retrospective, Backlog Refinement, Review/Demo)
Experience with documentation/ticketing tools (e.g., GitLab, Jira, Confluence)
Understanding of systems engineering concepts and applying them to software release
Familiar with GitFlow and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo)
Experience leading technical teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective cross-functional collaboration
Software development/coding experience with Python, Java, or React
Domain knowledge in data processing
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist)
