A medical based company is looking to fill a 13 week Registered Pharmacist full-time assignment in Harrisburg, PA .
The primary purpose of this position is assisting customers with their health care needs and maximizing health outcomes by filling prescriptions, providing clinical services, advising on therapies, providing excellent customer service, and supervising pharmacy associates. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with Rite Aid policies and state and federal laws.
We're looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our store-based team. As a Pharmacist, you'll play a critical role in supporting customer wellness by dispensing prescriptions, offering clinical services, advising on therapies, and leading pharmacy associates — all while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Clinical Services: Provide immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), and other state-approved services to enhance patient outcomes.
Prescription Accuracy: Ensure every prescription is dispensed safely and accurately through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
Customer Engagement: Offer health advice, answer medication-related questions, and assist customers in person, over the phone, or digitally using clinical tools and clear communication.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coach pharmacy staff, support training and development, and assist the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations.
Compliance & Safety: Follow federal/state pharmacy laws and internal procedures while maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
Customer Experience: Resolve concerns and deliver exceptional customer service to build long-lasting relationships.
Support Business Growth: Recommend products and services that benefit customer health and promote pharmacy performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (required)
Pharm.D. (preferred)
Licensing & Certifications:
Active Pharmacist License (required)
Immunizations and License
CPR Certification (required)
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Proficient in medication safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Comfortable with patient interaction and health guidance
