Hours: Must be available to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm EST . Role is 8 hours/day within this range.

Job Summary:

Join a groundbreaking clinical team of MDs, mid-levels, registered nurses (RN), health coaches, nutritionists, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES), Registered Dietitians (RDs) and others delivering virtual medical care across the nation. Think of the opportunities, challenges and unique situations that arise in taking a clinic from one city or state and offering care across 50+ states and territories.

As a Registered Dietitian you'll work as part of an inter-professional team to help people with weight loss and other conditions like diabetes, hypertension as well as other chronic diseases. Registered Dietitians collaborate with Onduo physicians and other members of the care team to create and execute evidence based protocols and care plans for our members. You will be responsible for providing clinical nutrition care and services to members with an ultimate goal of supporting self-management skills and achieving positive health outcomes. Obtaining licenses in multiple states will be a critical aspect for this role to provide virtual medical care across numerous states and territories.

This position is full-time. Interaction with members is via messaging, phone and video. This position will be remote.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual consultations; Utilize video conferencing and other communication tools to assess clients' dietary intake, medical history, and lifestyle factors.

Function as a nutrition consultant in an integrated team-based environment, completing nutrition referrals from Onduo PC providers and other team members.

Coordinates and provides all aspects of nutrition care including medical nutrition therapy (MNT), education, and counseling based on individual patient needs and industry standards.

Develop personalized meal plans; Create evidence-based meal plans tailored to members' specific needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

Provide nutrition education; Educate members on healthy eating habits, food preparation techniques, label reading, and making informed food choices.

Monitor progress and adjust plans; Track members' progress towards their goals and modify meal plans as needed.

Address specific health conditions; Provide specialized nutrition counseling for members with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, or food allergies.

Evaluate nutritional assessments, reviews and interpret pertinent diagnostic and treatment. Develop, implement, and monitor the nutritional care plan.

Review and calculate modified diets to meet the special dietary needs of those patients requiring nutrition intervention.

Maintain accurate records; Document client consultations, meal plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate with the healthcare team; Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes.

Stay current on nutrition research; Participate in continuing education activities to maintain knowledge of the latest nutrition science and evidence-based practices.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in nutrition/dietetics

Current Registered Dietitian (RD) with American Dietetic Association (ADA)

2 years of professional experience as a Registered Dietician

1 year of direct experience in a weight management clinic

Broad base/general knowledge of nutrition principles across the life cycle

Cleared background check

Active experience using EMR systems

Capacity to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.

Preferred Skills

Strong familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows.

Telemedicine experience

Experience delivering multi- condition care management services

Strong computer skills and ability to use a variety of web app and information-dense productivity tools

Ability to work collaboratively to define and deliver care, and to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, and other team members in a supportive and professional manner

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Passion for helping others with empathy, listening and perception skills

Startup mentality: ability to navigate in an evolving environment, balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive duties at once
