Job Description

We are looking for a Quality/Production Planner to join our Çimsa Americas Team!

This position is located in Houston, Texas.

About Çimsa Americas:

Cimsa Americas Cement Man & Sales Corp.; is a subsidiary of Cimsa Cement San. Tic. A.S., World’s one of the biggest white cement suppliers, located in Houston/Texas. The Quality/Production Planner role is based at our Cimsa Americas Cement Manufacturing & Sales Corp. located in Houston, TX and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The Quality/Production Planner will be responsible for the warehouse and production planning, quality laboratory and environmental duties of Houston Facility in Texas which has a total production volume of approximately 300,000 TPY.

As Quality/Production Planner at Çimsa Americas you will be responsible for:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform warehouse and production planning, quality laboratory and environmental duties.

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly productions using SAP system in timely manner,
  • Participate and collaborate the budget preparation by using data,
  • Create purchasing orders by using SAP system, receiving the orders in the field and completion of SAP processes, warehouse management for consumables and spare parts,
  • Coordinate the daily operations in quality laboratory with laboratory specialist and report to operation management,
  • Work together with laboratory specialist to fulfill the quality tasks and analysis,
  • Follow the environmental procedures and regulations of the cement production facility,
  • Complete the tasks and daily-weekly-monthly-quarterly inspections of TCEQ Air Permit and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP),
  • Planning and communicating weekly loading schedule with production and sales teams,
  • Establish and maintain maximum and minimum consumables inventory levels,
  • Covers off-shift calls as needed. Attends work regularly and reliably,
  • Promotes and maintains an environmentally compliant and a safety-oriented plant in accordance with all OSHA and company standards,
  • Ensure the application of the plant’s rules of conduct and health & safety protocols during operation and quality procedures to minimize injuries and lost time incidents,
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings and provide feedback on unsafe working conditions or signs of equipment breakdowns.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is an advantage,
  • Excellent multitasking skills within their workspace as well as computer software programs,
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint knowledge and usage at high level,
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred),
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures,
  • Strong aptitude and troubleshooting skills,
  • Ability to work in a cement manufacturing environment that may be hot, cold, wet, dusty, and physically demanding,
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and applicable safety precautions of the assigned work,
  • Positive attitude, collaborative worker, team player,
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment,
  • Understanding of being around moving equipment and machinery,
  • Must have regular attendance and punctuality,
  • Must be okay with heights and working in confined space,
  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
