Job Title: Media Data Curator II

Location: Cupertino, CA 95014 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Duration: 12 Month Assignment

Summary:

  • Client is seeking a talented Media Monitoring and Intelligence Analyst to support the U.S. Corporate Communications operation in a fast-moving news environment. This is a unique opportunity for someone to help track and assess news from around the world of interest to the Client, and to evaluate media coverage across the Client's business.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to distill complex topics into clear, crisp sentences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 2 years of experience and a strong passion for international news and current affairs, including business, technology, and politics. This may include roles such as journalist, PR specialist, or researcher.
  • Excellent news judgment with the ability to identify issues that could impact the Client's business.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • Highly driven and motivated, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality reports under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of all forms of news and communication channels, including the latest social media and online platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Track international, financial, and corporate news from around the world that is of interest to the Client and the broader industry.
  • Alert the PR team and other stakeholders about breaking news from TV, print, online, and social media.
  • Write concise and objective summaries of key stories and compile longer reports as needed.
  • Coordinate news monitoring with a network of PR managers in the US and other regions.
  • Compile editorial calendars and other tools to track and identify PR opportunities and potential media issues.
  • Assist the communications team with additional activities as required.

Education/ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education is preferred.
  • Journalism experience or related qualification preferred.
  • Proficiency in a second language is strongly preferred.
