Job Description

Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This IT-focused Project Coordinator position will oversee project teams of one to five people, managing planning, scheduling, and control of activities. The role requires specialized knowledge of project details, including monitoring progress, recommending efficiency improvements, and developing budgetary estimates. The coordinator will also stay updated on new developments and technology relevant to the projects. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $32.36 - $49

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates project teams of one to five people including planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities.
  • Acts as a specialist for specific projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of new development and technology.
  • Monitor projects and recommend changes to improve operating efficiency.
  • Develop budgetary estimates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in a technical field;
  • OR Associate degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from accredited college or university and 3 years’ experience in a technical field;
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a technical field.
  • IT experience with software upgrades is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management is also preferred.
  • Basic project management techniques.
  • Basic core values as related to human performance, cost-effective work execution.
  • Basic use of computer software tools.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, weighing alternative courses of action and making decisions that are based on factual information and rational assumptions, taking organization resources into consideration.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must establish goals, set priorities, and maintain an awareness of interrelationships among activities.
  • Possess strong project management skills and abilities, including leading projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to develop cost to benefit analysis in support of project options.
  • Ability to apply applicable technical specifications, code requirements, and standards.
