Are you a systems engineering professional with a passion for aligning complex technical programs with real-world delivery milestones?
On offer is a 2-year contract role where you’ll play a key role in shaping the technical baseline, tracking dependencies, and ensuring execution alignment across multiple stakeholders and government partners. You’ll be embedded in a high-impact defense program supporting advanced space and communication systems, leveraging Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to ensure complete traceability and actionable planning.
This position would suit an engineer with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills who thrives in technically dynamic, mission-focused environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Support development and traceability of technical baselines using MBSE.
• Analyze and verify system requirements across enterprise and component levels.
• Work with government and contractor teams to address gaps in requirements flow-down.
• Lead and support cross-functional working group sessions to resolve integration issues and action items.
• Develop, assess, and document proposed technical changes for enterprise-level impacts.
• Facilitate review and adjudication of program documentation comments.
• Act as a technical advisor for U.S. Space Force stakeholders.
• Track and manage program risks, schedule conflicts, and interdependencies, and support the development of actionable resolution plans.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• 4+ years working with system specification, verification, or analysis.
• Familiarity with MBSE principles and toolsets for requirements traceability.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Eligibility
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to work on-site in El Segundo, CA.
• Contract role: 2-year duration.
• Minimal travel required.
