Direct Hire FTE role with a small team that works hybrid 2 days a week in Phoenix.

Join our small yet dynamic team focused on crafting the next generation of a powerful service, with a special emphasis on mobile platforms. This platform will be used by millions of users in the travel/tourism/event space and will have a chance to design this new platform from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative Design Creation: Develop fresh, inventive user interface designs for mobile and web platforms, pushing boundaries while captivating our community.
• Collaborative Engagement: Actively collaborate with diverse teams to ensure alignment between user needs, company objectives, and design goals.
• User Experience Excellence: Deliver designs that not only boast modern aesthetics but also provide a seamless, world-class user experience.
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Remain up-to-date with evolving UI trends, introducing novel techniques and inspirations to enhance our designs.
• Feedback Integration: Solicit, absorb, and implement feedback swiftly within our fast-paced delivery environment, refining designs iteratively.
• Design System Development: Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries, fostering consistency and scalability across products.

Experience and Skills:

• Professional Portfolio: Showcase a portfolio demonstrating a range of UI design projects, highlighting your design process and problem-solving abilities.
• UI Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in fundamental UI principles, encompassing color theory, typography, and spatial arrangement.
• Tools Mastery with Figma
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, evidenced by successful partnerships with product managers and development teams.
• User-Centric Passion: Display a genuine passion for user-centric designs, dedicated to enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of product design experience
• User Insights Integration: Experience in extracting user insights and weaving them into compelling design narratives.
• Rapid Prototyping: Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques to iterate and refine designs efficiently.
• Comprehensive Design Expertise: Proficiency in designing for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring cohesive user experiences across surfaces.

Nice to Have:

• Motion Design Aptitude: Ability to infuse motion or animation into static UI elements, adding dynamism and engagement.
• UX Research Experience: Familiarity with conducting UX research to derive actionable insights and inform design decisions.
• Consumer Application Design: Prior experience in designing and delivering state-of-the-art consumer applications.
