Summary

Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility. May be required to hold State certification.

Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County is the second largest provider of early childhood education and care in Connecticut. CLC offers quality early childhood education along with comprehensive services to children and families with our eight locations in Stamford.

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or Equivalent
• Early Childhood Education Certificate Program
• Child Development Associate AND 12 Early Childhood Credits
• Child Development Associate OR Equivalent (12 Early Childhood Credits)
• High School Diploma

If you don't have a degree in ECE, consider applying. Your 12 ECE credits still qualify you for an Assistant Teacher position!

Duties

• Developing and planning all aspects of curriculum
• Maintaining a safe, healthy environment for the children
• Partnering and communicating with parents
• Documenting the children's progress and accomplishments through assessments
• Collaborating with all co-workers and supervision of Assistant Teachers

Requirements

• Background Check

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood (birth through 5 coursework)
