Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Stoughton WI

Job Type: Onsite

Job Description:

  • Coordinate operations with the various departments.
  • Involve team members in defining and monitoring performance indicators.
  • Create an environment and culture of excellence, in line with the business plan and objectives.
  • Engage team members and employees under his/her responsibility by promoting effective formal and informal communication mechanisms.
  • Ensure that each member of the team has the skills required for their role or receives appropriate development and training, and performs their role in a value-added manner, consistent with the business plan.
  • Identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure the development of employee skills.
  • Ensure that the company produces a quality product as defined by industry standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the plant.
  • Oversee all functions from material requisition, reception, machine operating, assembly, packaging, and shipping.
  • Responsible for scheduling, efficiency, and discipline.
  • Responsible for facility and plant equipment maintenance and security.
  • Plan weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Manage and report employees’ time and attendance.
  • Responsible for quality control and established health & safety programs and procedures.
  • Organize work and production methods to meet schedules and product quality.
  • Optimize all operations and plant systems in an environment facing fast growth.
  • Make sure projects are completed according to due dates.
  • Provide technical support to all departments.
  • Coordinate with project managers.
  • Maintain the progress of projects.
  • Ensure that quality criteria are met.
  • Coordinate between the various departments of the company.
  • Look for solutions to any problems that the factory may encounter.
  • Ensure that priorities are respected in all functions.
  • Ensure everyone has the necessary equipment to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in production management or equivalent.

At least 5-7 years of progressive experience as a supervisor or Plant Manager.

Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production processes in an architectural millwork plant.

Knowledge of management software systems such as ERP.

Superior organization and time management skills.

Proficient spoken and written English.

Positive influential leadership – ability to lead and manage a team to achieve production objectives for the plant
