Title : Pharmacist

Location : New York, NY-10016

Shift : 3:30 PM-12:00 AM

Duration : 13-Weeks Contract

Pay Range : $75 to $81/hr

Job Summary:

• Reviewing prescriptions, ensuring they are accurate, and dispensing the correct medication to patients.
• Providing advice to patients on how to properly take medications, including possible side effects and interactions with other drugs.
• Monitoring patients’ medication regimens, ensuring they are effective and identifying potential issues like drug interactions.
• Offering services that optimize drug therapy, improve health outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs by reviewing all the medications a patient is taking.
• Preparing customized medications in specific dosages or forms (like creams, liquids, or tablets) when commercial options aren’t available.
• Working with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to recommend drug therapies and improve patient care.
• Managing pharmacy stock, including ordering medications, checking expiration dates, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
• Ensuring the pharmacy follows all relevant laws and regulations, including maintaining proper records and handling controlled substances responsibly.

Required:

1 year Pharmacist experience.

Pharmacy dispensing system experience, Sterile Processing experience, IV room experience, knowledge of an EMR (Electronic Medical Records system) preferred.

Education:

Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required.
