Pacific BioLabs is an independent CRO providing cGMP/GLP testing in toxicology, biocompatibility, pharmacology, analytical chemistry, and microbiology. PBL has an immediate opening for a fulltime Project Manager. The Project Manager will support the successful execution of client projects at Pacific Biolabs by coordinating timelines, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external partners. This role is essential in ensuring that project activities stay on track, client needs are met, and quality standards are upheld. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional departments to help deliver efficient, compliant, and timely results in a pharmaceutical and/or medical device environment.

Requirements:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Serve as key liaison between the client and internal departments (Testing Departments, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams) to ensure that projects are successfully executed
  • Develop appropriate critical path schedules ensuring consensus of milestone dates consistent with business and client expectations and drive project completion in a timely manner
  • Act as a single point of contact for the client to drive operational efficiencies, lead communication, and escalate testing deviations and other related issues to the appropriate parties within Pacific BioLabs
  • Lead client review calls and present at strategic client meetings
  • Develop Client Operating Procedures and help set up paperwork and checklists associated with client testing projects
  • Work with Pacific BioLabs Quality Assurance team to ensure documentation is accurate as defined in internal SOPs
  • Provide support and assistance when dealing with special requirements and inform internal teams where required
  • Manage independent work priorities, maintain metrics, and analyze data to assess performance and suggest/implement improvements to help increase efficiency and quality
  • Identify project barriers (resource constraints, capability gaps, etc.) and work with the appropriate teams with Pacific BioLabs and/or external partners to resolve these issues accordingly
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to help develop recurring business with current and previous clients 

WORK AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal education of BA/BS degree from accredited university or college, preferably in biology, chemistry, physics, or other scientific discipline
  • Minimally, 3 years project management experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device-related industry
  • Working knowledge of and experience with GxP (GLP, GMP, GDP, etc.) standards in a pharmaceutical and/or medical device-related business setting
  • High level of proficiency with English language in a business environment including reading, writing, and spoken skills
  • Experience with project management software is a plus

The base pay offered for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 and will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and other benefits.
