Job Description

Network Infrastructure Engineer

What You'll Do:

  • Design, deploy, operate, and optimize network infrastructure across our data centers and cloud environments, with a strong focus on AWS services.
  • Tackle complex network issues, from load balancers to switches, ensuring seamless service delivery, including issues within AWS environments.
  • Drive our "Configuration as Code" approach, pushing the boundaries of network automation, leveraging AWS tools and scripting.
  • Provide expert guidance to software and systems engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, particularly regarding AWS infrastructure.
  • Manage the networking aspects of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability and efficiency, with a strong focus on AWS integration.
  • Continuously refine our standards and practices, working closely with fellow engineers to enhance our network operations, especially within AWS.
  • Expand your skills and share your expertise within the production networking team and across the organization, with a focus on AWS best practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in production network environments, ideally in large-scale global networks.
  • Deep understanding of IP networking fundamentals and protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, DMVPN, IP Multicast, SDWAN).
  • Proficiency in L2/L3 switching architecture design and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience with firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Syslog, NetFlow).
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud computing platforms, including CFT (CloudFormation Templates), Python, JSON, and scripting.
  • Proficiency in network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with zero-trust security (Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to customer service principles and a proactive approach.
