Who We Are

We are a warm, active family of six living in Dallas, Texas, with four children ages 5, 7, 9, and 11. All children attend school during the day and are engaged in a variety of after-school activities, including sports, arts, and clubs. Our home is lively, with plenty of movement, schedules to coordinate, and opportunities for learning and play.

Mom is a certified conscious parenting coach who stays home with the children, while Dad works as an executive and travels frequently. We follow gentle parenting principles with Montessori influence, encouraging natural consequences, curiosity, and independence.

We are seeking a nurturing, proactive Nanny & Family Assistant who can support our children's well-being, bring playful and positive energy to the after-school hours, and help keep the household flow organized. This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration and partnership, as you would work closely alongside the mother of the household.

Key points about our family and role:

  • Children are the primary focus, with after-school engagement, homework support, and activities coordination at the center of the role
  • Household is busy and dynamic, requiring someone flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • We value playfulness, curiosity, and gentle guidance in our parenting approach
  • Occasional family travel may require additional support

Who You Are

You are a professional, energetic, and playful individual who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. You are proactive, reliable, and able to anticipate the needs of both the kids and the household. You take initiative, are coachable, and can solve problems independently while supporting the family's routines and structure.

Key qualities we're looking for:

  • Punctual, dependable, and consistent in your work
  • Energetic and hands-on: able to supervise outdoor play, sports, pool time, and other activities
  • Engages children authentically and playfully, fostering curiosity and independence
  • Comfortable maintaining household order alongside children (tidying, small chores, dishwasher, toy organization)
  • Tech-savvy: able to assist with digital calendars, iPads, and parental controls
  • Aligned with Montessori and gentle parenting philosophies
  • Flexible: able to support occasional travel, overnights, evenings, and weekends
  • Professional boundaries: able to partner with parents to maintain routines and support parenting goals
  • Proactive problem solver who can anticipate needs and manage after-school routines without constant direction

  • Homework assistance (grades 2, 4, 6)
  • Active play: sports, pool, backyard, playground
  • Occasional overnight care when parents travel
  • Weekend and evening support for activities or events as needed
  • Engage children in helping maintain household order (toy cleanups, sports gear)
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks for school and activities

Meal Support

  • Prepare light, healthy meals/snacks for children (protein-focused, vegetables, simple dinners)
  • Batch-cook or prep school lunches or family dinners when needed
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization

Household Organization & Errands

  • Maintain household order alongside children (toy sorting, common areas, small chores)
  • Grocery/pharmacy runs and other errands as requested
  • Assist with household schedules, reminders, and calendars (2–3 times/year)
  • Support seasonal transitions or small projects as needed

  • Manage digital calendars, reminders, and iPads
