Lititz- Personal Care Med Tech-Resident Care Aide

We’re currently seeking dedicated Med Tech- Resident Care Aides for our Personal Care center at Luther Acres, a Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We currently offer Part Time (7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A) from 16 hours to 72 hours biweekly depending on available positions EOW, EOH. We are also currently hiring for a FT (11P-7A) position. Benefit eligible at 56 hours biweekly. We also offer a PRN/Casual role.

WHAT YOU DO:  

As a Med Tech-Resident Care Aide at Luther Acres, you’re an integral part of ensuring our residents are comfortable by enhancing their overall health and well-being. You’ll do this by performing non-direct nursing services under the supervision of licensed nurses, including: 

1. Assists residents with AM/PM care, ensuring that all residents are clean and well-groomed at all times, Ensures that resident’s nutritional needs are met and offers evening snack to residents. Completes medication delivery (eye drops, oral medication, insulin, inhalers, treatments and creams)
2. Provides assistance for general room maintenance to include making and changing of linens, proper care of clothing, maintaining general appearance, empties waste paper baskets in resident rooms. Assists with washing kitchen and bathroom floors, and operates spotting machine for spills. Assists residents with use of personal washer and dryer; Provides personal laundry service as per schedule; Performs necessary tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
3. Documents resident care appropriately, including vital signs (pulse, respirations, blood pressure, pulse ox, height, weight). Maintains other resident records in appropriate manner.
4. Responds to emergency campus calls with other team member(s); Respond to resident call bells as quickly as possible to meet resident needs.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:  

1. Current Med Tech Certification
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent 
3. Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate or willingness to be trained.
