Exciting Opportunity for a Strategic Marketing Director at Sozio Inc. in Piscataway, NJ!

As we continue to shape the future of the fragrance market, we are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to lead our marketing initiatives and drive growth in this dynamic and exciting industry.

As the Director of Marketing you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that enhance our market presence and drive customer engagement. This role involves leading a team of marketing professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and aligning marketing strategies with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the fragrance industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the fragrance marketing & communication strategies to achieve business goals and ensure competitive positioning in the market
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the marketing team (5 FTE), fostering a culture of performance, accountability and collaboration
• Market Insights: Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and guide fragrance development
• Collaborate with sales, perfumery, and other departments to ensure alignment and achieve common goals.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry media.
• Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
• Responsible to liaise with all offices of Sozio in order to leverage market acumen from other regions such as France, Dubai, China,

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
• 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in the fragrance or related industry (beauty, cosmetics, personal care)
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of fragrance trends, markets, and consumer preferences
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with experience in using market data and insights to drive decision-making
• Exceptional creativity, ideation skills, and a deep understanding of brand and market dynamics
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks effectively, and deliver results under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, and CANVA
• National & International travel required
