Job Title:

Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

CoverTree is seeking a highly motivated Lead QA Engineer with experience in test automation. Based in the Detroit, MI area, this role offers the opportunity to work on innovative systems that drive the rapid expansion of our digital insurance platform for manufactured homes—a critical solution for affordable housing for 24 Million Americans.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, well-versed in both manual and automated testing strategies, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering manager to lead the quality assurance efforts of the core infrastructure and operations engineering teams.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and product teams to ensure that QA processes are well-designed and comprehensive
• Assist the QA engineers with manual testing, and building and maintaining comprehensive automated tests
• Focus on continuous improvement to ensure core systems are high-quality, reliable, and easy to maintain.

What We’re Looking For:

• Location: Detroit, MI area.
• 3+ years of experience in automated and manual QA,
• Possess a deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Hands-on experience in testing systems deployed within the cloud, preferably in AWS
• Showcases excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges with curiosity and business acumen.
