Job Title: Distinguished Engineer – Multi-Cloud, Machine Learning, and Master Data Management

Job Type: Full-Time, HYBRID in Houston, TX

Base Salary: $160K-210K base

About the Role:

As a Distinguished Engineer, you will be a key technical leader within our organization, driving innovation and excellence across our multi-cloud infrastructure, machine learning initiatives, and master data management strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enhance our technological capabilities and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategy, architecture and implementation of innovative cloud edge and network solutions that are scalable, resilient and cost-effective

Lead the transition of existing infrastructure to cloud and edge environments, ensuring seamless migration and integration

Develop technical roadmaps for cloud and infrastructure technologies

• Technical Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for AWS cloud infrastructure, machine learning projects, and master data management.
• Cloud Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
• Machine Learning: Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Data Management: Oversee the design and implementation of master data management solutions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
• Innovation: Drive innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and trends, and prototyping new solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation, focusing on performance, scalability, and operability.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SageMaker).
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong knowledge of data management principles and tools (e.g., MDM, ETL processes).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on multi-cloud or AWS cloud services, machine learning, and data management.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Machine Learning, or similar certifications and or Azure Certifications

Publications: Contributions to technical blogs, whitepapers, or research papers in relevant fields.

Understanding and ability to leverage Opensource technology

Data Science skillset is a bonus

The Distinguished Engineer reports directly to the CTO .

This role acts as a bridge between the executive leadership and the technical teams, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

The Distinguished Engineer leads and mentors a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering innovation.
