Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Interim Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for approximately 500–600 employees across multiple states, including Idaho, Florida, South Carolina, and North Dakota. This role plays a critical part in supporting hotel and corporate leadership with all facets of HR, including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, payroll processing, and benefits administration.

LOCATION: St. Cloud, 100% onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Multi-State HR Oversight: Manage HR operations across corporate and hotel locations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and company policies.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, terminations, and employee changes in collaboration with hotel managers. Support offer letters, background checks, and new hire processes through UKG.
  • Benefits Administration: Coordinate with external brokers to support benefits strategy and annual open enrollment. Serve as primary liaison for employee benefit questions and administration.
  • Payroll Collaboration: Partner closely with in-house payroll team (3 associates) to ensure accurate processing, particularly for terminations and compensation changes. Potential support for implementing Sage for finance/payroll.
  • Performance & ER Management: Lead annual review processes, manage corrective action plans, handle unemployment cases, and provide employee relations support—particularly for hotel locations.
  • HRIS Administration: Maintain and update employee data in UKG (HRIS), including terminations, status changes, and compliance reporting.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and submit EEO reporting and support regulatory and audit requirements as needed.
  • Leadership & Guidance: Provide direct supervision to 4 HR staff with potential to grow. Offer training, mentorship, and support across HR disciplines.
  • Project Involvement: Support HR considerations for 1–2 design and construction projects per year and assist in transitions related to property acquisitions or sales.
