Job Overview The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day front-end support of the Human Resources Department at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and will report to the Human Resources Director. Tasks can include greeting visitors and answering telephones, responding to inquiries, and always demonstrating Service Excellence standards. This an ideal position for someone who would like to transition into the field of Human Resources by completing entry-level HR related tasks.Â
General Responsibilities - Greets visitors and answers telephones with proper ettiquete.
- Assists with general organization of the department.Â
- Assists with filing, auditing, and maintaining organization of personnel files.
- Inventories and reports supplies needed.
- Assists with administrative tasks as needed such as filing, copying, faxing, drafting email communications.
- Assists with telephone screening applicants.
- Completes data entry as needed.
- Assists with preparation and set-up for new employee orientation.
- Provides administrative support as needed.
- Assists with hospital functions and special events/activities as needed.Â
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities - Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage office functions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills required.Â
Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills required
- Customer service experience strongly preferred
- Interested in a career in Human Resources preferred
- English/spanish bilingual a plus but not required
