Laurel Hill Gardens is seeking new, experienced and motivated Landscape/Garden Crew members:
Positions looking to be filled:
• Laborers: Can you dig a hole, identify and pull weeds, shovel and spread mulch and get stuff done with minimal supervision?
• Landscapers: Do you have experience in everything a laborer does and more? Pruning, planting, cleanups, operating landscape equipment and tools (safely) and knowledge of hardscaping and more? If you fancy yourself a future landscape crew leader, even better!
• Gardeners : Do you love plants, flowers, shrubs, pruning and planting. Do you have some knowledge of plant care? Do you have an eye for design and color? Maybe you see yourself as a future botanist or horticulturist. Ideally, you love being outside and maintaining gardens.
Common to all these roles is reliability, motivation and willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions. Depending on aptitude and interest, there may be positions open at our Garden Center in the heart of Chestnut Hill. There is room to grow for the right talent.
Laurel Hill Gardens in Chestnut Hill was established in 1981, and we have had the privilege of designing and maintaining some of Philadelphia’s finest residential gardens and landscapes. We take great pride in that, and we are hiring those that will respect and share the same reverence our team does for our client’s homes and gardens.
If hired, you will be joining a team of experienced and dedicated landscapers and gardeners.
Candidate MUST also have :
• Valid driver’s License
• Prior experience in construction, landscaping and/or horticulture
• Availability from Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:30PM throughout the season.
Weekend work is available during our peak season.
These positions are primarily seasonal/weather dependent- March thru December.
Pay and benefits:
· $20- $22 an hour.
· Paid holiday and vacation time accrues after promotional employment period (minimum 90 days)
