Job Description

Spirit Halloween/Spencer’s is looking for an experienced Photography Supervisor to coordinate all aspects of photography needs for shooting diverse lines of product, with an emphasis on fashion, soft goods/apparel and hardline/electronics/novelty. In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for managing the beginning to end process of photo shoot production, including the successful execution of on-set and post-shoot production needs.

The candidate must possess the ability to think strategically and act quickly and maintain control during the sometimes-hectic environment of a photo shoot. Prior experience of working on photo shoot sets, including model castings and bookings. Also, the supervisor will be responsible for attending product turnovers, coordinating product transfer, and working on photo kits with an emphasis on fashion, soft goods/apparel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute photo shoots from start to finish, including booking and managing approved outside creative resources (stylists, models, etc.) and on-set production to ensure a smooth and successful shoot.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are a must, along with the ability to manage competing priorities among cross-functional teams to assure all work is completed on time.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills and be able to speak to photo and video with authority.
• Partnering with internal departments to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of product and production kits to studio team for scheduled shoots.
• Streamline photography process while driving continuous improvement of image quality and branding standards.
• Ability to assist photo staff as needed with steaming product/prep work, lighting setup and other studio requirements to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Handle all product and manage the shoot workflow from beginning to end.
• Work closely with Studio Manager to update the photo studio shoot schedule for multiple brands, allocate resources where needed and leverage those needs against budget.
• Obtain breakfast catering for all photo shoots in accordance with budget and handle day of shoot.
• Responsible for monitoring product inventory and integrity as it is transported to and from the photo studio or on-location shoots.
• Willingness to travel for photo shoots.
• Self-motivated, excited about photography fashion, able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to interface with marketing/merchant/development teams on a regular basis.
• Interest in Halloween, pop-culture, music, teen lifestyle, a plus.
