iWorld Professionals is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for our client in Rochester NY. This position is a hybrid position with the ability to work in the Rochester NY office on in-office days. The role includes designing, implementing, and monitoring security measures and addressing any security incidents as part of the IT team.

Cyber Security Engineer Responsibilities:

• Work as a hands-on engineering in the design of IT security architecture.
• Develop detailed cyber security designs.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for computer systems, networks, and cloud environments.
• Prepare and document standard security operating procedures and protocols for the business users.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Develop technical solutions using new security tools to mitigate risk exposure, vulnerabilities and automate security control tasks.
• Communicate security incidents to managers and business leaders.
• Effectively resolve security issues as necessary
• Write comprehensive reports on security findings, outcomes, and potential vulnerabilities for system security enhancement.

Cyber Security Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable role as security administrator, systems engineer.
• CCNP Security, CompTIA, C|HFI, or CEH. CISSP highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining security systems.
• Knowledge of database and operating system security tools
• Hands-on experience with security systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
• Familiarity with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment in Rochester NY
