Position Summary

**This is an on-site, in-person position. Candidates must be able to work from our Sioux Falls, SD office**

The Content Writer / Copywriter plays a key role on the marketing team, crafting compelling, engaging, and on-brand content to support a variety of retail and lifestyle brands under the Furniture Mart USA umbrella. This role requires a creative thinker with strong writing and editing skills who can develop compelling content for digital, print, and other various channels. From storytelling to promotional messaging, you’ll help shape the customer journey and drive engagement across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Time (40 hrs/wk)
  • Write clear, engaging, and brand-consistent content across a variety of platforms, including websites, email marketing, social media, digital ads, in-store signage, print, and broadcast.
  • Develop original copy for TV, radio, streaming audio, and digital video ads.
  • Create timely, trend-focused content to support marketing campaigns, brand promotions, and seasonal events.
  • Partner with the social media team to craft platform-specific content (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) that supports key initiatives.
  • Write email marketing copy for multiple brands and audiences.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and e-commerce partners to deliver integrated campaigns with consistent messaging.
  • Support SEO-driven content needs in partnership with our digital and web teams.
  • Proofread and edit content for accuracy, grammar, tone, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Assist with writing headlines, promotional messaging, in-store signage, and other creative assets as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and have excellent communication skills
  • Passion for the brand and our customer
  • Strong creative, copywriting, and editing skills required
  • Detail-oriented but flexible with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in proofreading, editing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
