Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Build or repair structures made of concrete, such as buildings, walls, floors, and other concrete forms.
- Pour, spread, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
- Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Assist in other construction tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Carpenter or similar role.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing and pouring techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Certification in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
