What will your role be?

Scalian is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Cisco Voice Engineer that will be focused on providing support, consultation, and troubleshooting for Cisco Voice and Collaboration technologies. The role involves managing VoIP and Cisco Telephony operations while ensuring high-quality service delivery by resolving issues in line with Service Level Agreements. Strong technical skills and effective communication are essential to ensuring a seamless user experience and resolving issues promptly.

Activities:

  • Manage VoIP and Cisco Telephony operations
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco voice technologies, including CUCM, CUC, Jabber, SIP Trunk implementation, and Webex Codec
  • Provide operational support for deployed technologies such as CUCM, CUC, and voice network infrastructure
  • Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Analog Voice Gateways (VGs), and Cisco voice gateway routers for PSTN connectivity
  • Monitor incidents, troubleshoot, and escalate production issues affecting the network and systems infrastructure
  • Work with internal and external support organizations and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Manage critical escalations to 3rd parties and Cisco TAC when required
  • Participate in projects, effectively communicating operational requirements for smooth technology transitions
  • Support the internal collaboration, security, and networking infrastructure in accordance with best practices
  • Advise users on technical requirements and solutions
  • Create and deliver system performance and issue reports
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Cisco Collaboration technologies (CUCM, CUC, Jabber)
  • Develop and expand technical knowledge and skills related to Cisco collaboration solutions
  • Articulate the technologies implemented and supported in the portfolio
  • Provide clear communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and customer support duties
  • Demonstrate time management, expectation setting, and organizational skills
  • Foster a positive teamwork approach with a willingness to learn and share knowledge

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • 3–5 years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Voice and Collaboration technologies (CUCM, CUC, Jabber, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of VoIP and SIP Trunk implementations
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Voice Gateways, and Webex
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle technical issues and communicate solutions effectively
  • Ability to manage and resolve escalations in a timely manner
  • Good understanding of incident management and problem resolution processes
