THE BMH portfolio includes key equipment such as Apron Feeders, Belt Feeders, Rotary Car Dumpers and Positioners, Conveyor Belts, Cable Belts, Bucketwheel Stacker Reclaimers, Stackers, Continuous Barge Unloaders, Flexowell Belts, Rotary Breakers, and more.

We also offer an extensive service portfolio which reduces the TCO for our customers. The nature of these products is that they are highly engineered and designed specifically for each customer. This requires a team of experts, based across Pennsylvania, Brazil, Perth and India to interact globally and to create and supply tailored designs that meet their customers needs. This includes legacy products that we have acquired over the years.

The Chief Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading the engineering function and driving the expansion of our capital and aftermarket product portfolio within the SVS GBP BMH Product Engineering team. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the engineering and development of structural and mechanical systems and components, ensuring strict compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. The role will provide strategic direction and technical oversight across multiple engineering projects, from initial concept through execution, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will lead the preparation of mechanical and structural 3D models, shop drawings, specifications, and procedures to support the fabrication, construction, and assembly of bulk equipment, as well as the refurbishment, upgrade, or retrofit of existing systems.

What we're looking for?

• 10+ years of experience of mechanical engineering, specifically machine design, including static and fatigue-loaded structures, material selection, and power transmission.
• Experience of bulk material handling products is a significant bonus
• Ability to work as part of a global team and collaborate with international offices
• Strong experience of design software, we use MathCAD, Autodesk and Ansys
• Ability to contribute to a growing Pittsburgh office
