Position Summary:
At Canopy Philadelphia, we believe every cocktail tells a story — one crafted with creativity, local flavor, and genuine hospitality. Our Bartenders are the heart of that story, creating memorable moments for each guest who takes a seat at our bar. We’re seeking an energetic and experienced Bartender who brings passion, skill, and personality to every pour.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of bartending experience and a proven ability to craft specialty cocktails that capture the vibrant spirit of Philadelphia and the welcoming energy of our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome guests warmly, creating an inviting and lively atmosphere that reflects the Canopy spirit.
Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, consistency, and style.
Develop and showcase signature and seasonal cocktails that highlight local ingredients and creativity.
Engage guests through storytelling, menu knowledge, and thoughtful recommendations to enhance their experience.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar at all times.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and company regulations governing alcohol service.
Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
Collaborate with team members across Food & Beverage to deliver seamless, friendly service.
Contribute to bar setup, breakdown, and ongoing inventory management.
Stay inspired by current beverage trends and continuously seek new ways to elevate the Canopy bar experience
Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of bartending experience, preferably in a hotel, craft cocktail bar, or upscale restaurant.
Demonstrated expertise in specialty and signature cocktail creation.
Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.
Passion for hospitality and a guest-first mindset.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol.
RAMP, TIPS, or equivalent certification preferred.
Flexible schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
