Job Description

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Attendant - Luxury Services Lounge is to provide exceptional guest service, set up and maintain food and beverage presentations, and other assistance to guests in the Luxury Services lounges.

 

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assist in the service of the VIP Lounges, Paiza Club, and/or Prestige Lounge. Including, but not limited to, food and beverage service, bussing tables, restocking product, equipment and supplies.

· Set up and clear food and beverage presentations.

· Assist in the service of all food and beverages as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.

· Ensure lounges are kept clean and organized and ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.

· Welcome guests into the lounge in a warm and friendly manner.

· Respond to guest requests and answer questions about The Venetian Resort, and Las Vegas.

· Know, adhere to, and practice all aspects of department service standards.

· Clean and maintain work areas to department standards and comply with the Southern Nevada Health Department regulations.

· Run errands as assigned, to include but not limited to tickets, shopping, food products, deliveries and packages.

· Provide a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer.

· Safety is an essential function of this job.

· Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 21 years of age.

· Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

· High school Diploma or equivalent.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Health Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, Non-Gaming Card, and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

· 1 year of experience in casino, restaurant or related hospitality area.

· Experience with point of sale equipment and/or computers.

· Working knowledge of food and beverage products including wine and spirits.

· Working knowledge of The Venetian Resort and the amenities it offers.

· Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.

· Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

· Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

· Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.

· Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.

· Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.

· Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.

· Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.

· Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

· Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
