We are currently looking to hire an experienced Structural Engineer to join our current team of managers, engineers, and designers, who represent the top talent in the industry.
Duties and responsibilities:
The position performs general structural engineering work with expanding capabilities under general directions from the Company management for clients the Company serves in the markets.
The candidate will apply the fundamental engineering knowledge and practical experience to design and complete all tasks for different projects including planning studies, structural analysis, independent design checks, structural detailing, preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates (PS&E), and design support for construction of structures for private and public clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties are as follows, but not limited to:
The selected candidate will support the efforts of a Project Manager in team supervision and execution of various projects including:
Transit aerial and underground stations
Freeway and interchange bridges
Railroad bridges
Pedestrian bridges
Widening of existing bridges
Earth retaining structures
Underground tunnels and other structures
Sound walls
Pump plants
Overhead sign structures.
Flood control structures
Aviation structures
Utility structures
Qualifications:
Familiar with Metro MRDC, AASHTO, Caltrans Manuals, AISC, ACI, IBC, ASCE, and local building codes
Skilled in SAP2000
Skills in Computer-Aid Design tools
Knowledge in public works agencies
Education & Experiences:
A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (ABET) is required.
Minimum of 1-5 years of Structural engineering experience
EIT License (in California) is preferred
A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license is preferred
