Chardan is an independent, full-service global investment bank committed to uncompromising performance and disruptive innovation. Headquartered in New York City, Chardan specializes in healthcare, technology, SPACs, and emerging growth companies, supporting the capital markets goals of corporate and institutional clients. With over 700 transactions and $120 billion in aggregate deal value, Chardan is recognized for its expertise in capital raising, M&A advisory, strategic advisory, equity research, and institutional trading. Chardan is at the forefront of integrating digital assets and blockchain into traditional finance, advising on high-profile crypto-backed financings and pioneering new capital markets solutions. Our culture is direct, intellectually honest, and focused on moving society forward through innovation and collaboration. The firm is a registered broker-dealer with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a member of FINRA, SIPC, and NASDAQ.
About the Role: Chardan is seeking an Associate General Counsel or Senior Counsel to join our legal team. This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a talented corporate lawyer to prosper in-house in a collaborative, high-energy, and fast-paced environment. You will work directly with senior leadership and bankers, personally executing legal work that supports Chardan’s innovative transactions and principal investments. If you thrive on solving complex problems, enjoy working across disciplines, and want to be part of a firm where everyone gets along and contributes, we encourage you to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, you will play a critical, hands-on role in supporting Chardan’s investment banking and principal investments activities. You will be expected to personally execute the following responsibilities:
Note: This is a hands-on role that requires direct execution of legal work. You will be expected to personally draft, review, negotiate, and manage most of your matters, rather than delegating or overseeing the work of others.
Job Qualifications:
Chardan is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, ancestry, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, medical condition, disability, veteran’s status, or any other basis protected by law.
Chardan is always looking for strong talent to join our team. We carefully review candidate resumes on an ongoing basis.
If your experience aligns with our needs, a member of our team will reach out to you. Our interview process starts with phone or Zoom interviews, followed by final round interviews where you will meet with multiple members of our team from across the organization - bankers, researchers, and sector leaders. Interviewers will evaluate your knowledge and experience and overall fit with our values and culture. Unfortunately, given the volume of applicants, we are not able to inform applicants that they are not selected for an initial interview.
We are committed to cultivating a workplace that champions and amplifies diverse talent and representation across identities that have been historically missing from Wall Street and C-suite spaces. Our team is positioned for success because of the people of color, immigrants, marginalized genders, varied faiths, varied abilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community within it. To those wondering if they are a cultural fit, if you share these values and commitments, then yes, you are.

How will I know if I was selected for an interview?
We do our best to keep our site updated. If you submitted a resume and haven’t heard from us for a month or so, we likely proceeded with other candidates for a particular position. For those in the interview process, we make a point to keep you informed if positions are filled.
If I interviewed before but wasn’t selected, can I re-apply?
Yes. If your experience is aligned with our needs, you are welcome to apply again.
When will I hear back after an interview?
Once interviews are completed for eligible candidates, we try to make hiring decisions quickly. Generally speaking, we’ll try to update you within two weeks of your last interview.
