Job Description

Investment Management company is continuing to grow and looking to expand their legal team. This Attorney will report to the General Counsel and work closely with a small team of Attorneys on a variety of real estate/transactional matters. This is a hybrid opportunity (2 days per week in the office).

What will you do?

• Draft, review and negotiate all forms of documents associated with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, loans, development, asset management and leasing.
• Provide negotiation and drafting support for commercial contracts, including NDAs, operating agreements, partnership agreements, employment agreements and vendor contracts.
• Conduct due diligence reviews, with a focus on title and survey review.
• Review community governance documents, including declarations of covenants, homeowners’ association documents and condominium documents.
• Prepare development agreements, construction contracts, management agreements and related documents.
• Work with other departments in the Company to provide legal support on an as-needed basis

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as an Attorney focused primarily on acquisitions and dispositions
• JD from an accredited US law school
• Active member in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Ability to process sophisticated transactions and work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Team spirit and willingness to roll up sleeves
