Accounting Specialist

Location: Hybrid, Exton, PA (preferred) or Home-based, US

Position Summary:

We are recruiting an Accountant Specialist to perform daily accounting tasks supporting our financial team. The accounting specialist is Bentley's key person in global cash allocation and is part of the global cash allocation team. This role does not require travel.

Your Day-to-Day:

• You will be part of an international team with colleagues in USA, Europe, and India
• You process bank statements and credit card payments for Bentley Systems globally, allocating incoming and outgoing payments to the correct accounts
• Good understanding of different types of payments and GL & Bank Statement Reconciliation
• Constantly collaborate with all departments involved in requesting missing information regarding unidentified payments
• Perform timely execution of month-end closing procedures
• Handle complicated e-mails for problem-solving critical issues on customer accounts
• This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based in the US.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer other  physical requirements ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other company colleagues in person (on occasion) and via Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
• There is no travel required with this role.

What You Bring to The Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, other business-related degree, or relevant training and experience.
• At least five years of experience in an accounting position
• Experience with a cloud-based ERP system, such as NetSuite, Oracle, Workday, SAP S/4Hana represents an advantage
• Has a hands-on, can-do mentality
• Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and flexible
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
